Spot XRP exchange-traded products have experienced their first week of net outflows in over two months, breaking a nine-week streak of consecutive inflows. Data from SoSoValue shows $7.29 million exited the funds on July 8, with a minor $107,380 inflow on Friday and no reportable activity on the other three trading days. This shift marks a notable reversal for XRP ETFs, which had previously dominated cryptocurrency fund flows while Bitcoin and Ethereum products struggled.
Spot exchange-traded funds tracking XRP recorded their first net outflow week in over two months, breaking a nine-week streak of consecutive inflows.
Data from SoSoValue shows $7.29 million exited the funds on July 8, with a minor $107,380 inflow on Friday and no reportable activity on the other three trading days.
The XRP products had dominated cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds alongside HYPE and sometimes SOL, while market leaders suffered. Total net inflows had risen from under $1.29 billion to an all-time high of $1.49 billion as of July 2.
One previous week that interrupted the streak only saw minor net outflows of $35,210, which the source noted “doesn’t really count.” Investors now appear to have turned attention away from Ripple’s token and back to market leaders.
Both Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs recorded their first green week in two months, with net inflows of almost $200 million and $84 million, respectively.
Despite nine consecutive weeks of major net inflows, XRP failed to record any substantial gains in that time. Recent outflows appear to have harmed the token, as current data from CoinGecko shows a 3.2% decline over the past week.
XRP challenged the $1.15 resistance earlier this week but was halted there, and subsequent rejection pushed it south to under $1.10. Although it has rebounded to that level now, uncertainty continues as many analysts expect a major move ahead.
The direction remains unknown, but the overall belief within the crypto community is that XRP has reached a decision point. It could either head below $1.00 soon or rocket toward new local peaks.
