Pi Network Still Waiting: Binance, Coinbase Hold Off on Listing Despite Community Support

-

Pi Network’s listing on major exchanges remains uncertain as of August 8, 2026, with Binance and Coinbase yet to announce plans for PI. A Binance community poll in February 2025 showed 86.8% support for listing, but the exchange did not proceed. Bybit CEO Ben Zhou called Pi a scam, a claim the project denied. PI currently trades at $0.09179, with volume down 29.89%. Concerns about code auditing, compliance, token distribution, and future unlocks may be influencing decisions. Meanwhile, Pi Network continues developing utility, including a partnership with RoboPay for robot-service payments.

Pi Network’s exchange-listing debate persists as Binance and Coinbase have not listed PI, though the token is available on OKX, Gate, MEXC, and Kraken. Neither exchange has provided a concrete timeline for a potential listing.

Binance conducted a community voting poll in February 2025, where about 226,000 votes were cast. Approximately 86.8% voted in favor of listing PI, but Binance never proceeded despite the results. Coinbase has been more reserved, holding no community poll on PI.

Bybit has taken a different stance. Bybit CEO Ben Zhou said in early 2025 that Pi was a scam, based on a 2023 warning from Chinese police. Pi Network denied being a scam, and Bybit has not changed its position.

Neither Binance nor Coinbase has disclosed the exact reasons for not listing PI. Criticism has been raised regarding the auditing of Pi’s code, compliance issues, token concentration, and future token unlocks. The uncertain regulatory environment may cause major exchanges to be cautious.

Pi community members debate the reasons. Some believe Binance is wary due to Pi’s huge customer base, while others think regulations and compliance have more merit. One faction argues that actual use cases carry greater weight than exchange listings.

Pi Network is associated with new utility developments. A as reported partnership with RoboPay would enable PI users to make payments for real-world services offered by robots, adding a use case in the machine economy. The Protocol 26 update is another development, but its value depends on usage. For now, no confirmation exists from Binance or Coinbase on a listing date.
